Mass Communication Department

Course Objectives

The primary aim of the Mass Communication Department is to provide a sound training leading to a National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) or Degree (BSc) or Masters (MSc) in Mass Communication.

After reading this course the student should be able to:

• Define mass communication.
• Identify key functions of mass communication.
• Understand prominent theories of mass communication.
• Understand the role that media plays in your life.
• Describe pop culture.
• Identify several key elements of media literacy.
• Recognize your role in the global community.

Admission Requirements

Any applicant who meets the minimum entry requirements for admission into the University may be granted admission, the requirements are :

• O’level Result
• Birth Certificate
• Passport Photograph

• Degree (BSc):                                    ₦69,000
• HND to Degree (BSc) Conversion:    ₦247,000
• Masters (MSc):                                   ₦390,000
